Hi! My name is Lisa, and I want to help you reach your English fluency goals so that you can:

• improve your career opportunities,
• successfully communicate with colleagues from around the world and,
• feel confident speaking English.

I created English Fluency Now after having spent many years working with English learners, both children, and adults, and after having spent many years studying foreign languages myself, including Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, and a little Chinese (my son Avery lived in Taiwan as a foreign exchanged student and is now fluent in Mandarin!).

I love being able to communicate with people from around the world!

English is my native language. I was born and raised in Fresno, California and every day I enjoy working with people who come from various countries and who speak many languages. This year I have students in my third-grade class who speak Armenian, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish.

I want to help you communicate with confidence and ease with people throughout the world in English, currently the most commonly spoken second language in the world.

My Professional Life

I have a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz and I received my post-graduate teacher’s training at California State University, Fresno. I have a Bilingual Certificate of Competence, with TESOL and EFL/ESL certification.

I have nearly 20 years of teaching experience, working with elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as adults. I have taught in the public school system, a small private school, and online.

I love teaching and enjoy working with people from around the world.
